“I tripped over something in my studio and gashed my toe open. With the sight of blood, an idea hit me; I proceeded to put a canvas up on my wall, put some music on and smash my toe against the canvas. After the initial burst, I topped the blood with a lot of paint and then lots of information: books, poetic prose, jumping from one trail of thought to another. The final result is a huge maze of information and narrative which leads you around and into the canvas, like Alice falling down the rabbit hole.”
