Behind the Work

“‘Catch Me in the Season’ is part of a small series where the grid system within my works act as the base of a constructed map, referencing my nomadic upbringing. This work has a greater focus on our physical response towards colour. The composition and balance between colours is determined by the emotions I aim to evoke. The painting is marked with small map symbols referencing geographical maps, and the faint blue line marks the ending of the painting process, revealing a simplified journey through the constructed ‘map’.”
