“I’ve always been fascinated by details and texture; here, I simply wanted to capture a rather banal yet intimate moment that is sand bonded to skin. The reflective light on the model’s skin, the grain of the sand, the fabric on his body and the detail of his nipple, almost apparent. I liked the gathering of many small fragments of detail, it feels like a stolen moment.”
