"I wanted to create an artwork that mimicked shadow and light play with two differing shapes in a space. One ball, a symbol of the perfection, and one black "cupola", a semicircular - elliptic. There is a contrast between the two shapes, one is soft and the other has its sharp edges. The ball has a brightly shining reflection, and it gives the cupola an opportunity to absorb all of the ball's brightness because of its shape and its color, black."
